BANK PROFILE · Germany

UBS Europe SE

UBS Europe SE is the UBS group's German legal entity, a Societas Europaea entered in the commercial register of the Amtsgericht Frankfurt am Main under HRB 107046, with its registered office in the OpernTurm at Bockenheimer Landstraße 2-4, 60306 Frankfurt am Main. UBS states that the entity is authorised and regulated by the Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht and the European Central Bank, and that UBS AG, Switzerland is its hundred-per-cent parent company. UBS Deutschland AG passed into UBS Europe SE on 1 December 2016; that German company had itself been formed on 3 June 2005 out of UBS's German wealth management, investment bank and parts of asset management, in a business going back to the acquisition of Schröder Münchmeyer Hengst. The bank runs six German locations, led from Frankfurt am Main, alongside Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart. UBS's own entity-by-entity rating table records UBS Europe SE at Aa3 with Moody's, A+ with S&P and AA with Fitch, each with a stable outlook and each belonging to this subsidiary rather than to UBS AG or UBS Group AG. The published German offering is wealth management: discretionary and advisory mandates, the modular UBS My Way mandate from a minimum investment of EUR 250,000, self-directed E-Trading, alternative investment funds sold only to qualified investors, Lombard credit against a securities portfolio, and a dedicated financial-intermediaries division providing custody and execution. No price list, account tariff or relationship entry threshold is published on the German site, and no deposit-protection statement for this entity was located, so neither is recorded here.
