BANK PROFILE · Luxembourg

ING Luxembourg

ING Luxembourg S.A.

ING Luxembourg S.A. is the Luxembourg bank of the ING group, refocused on private banking and wealth management as it winds down mass retail and business banking. It is credit institution number 14 on the CSSF list of Luxembourg banks under direct ECB supervision, registered at 26, Place de la Gare under RCS Luxembourg B6041, and eligible deposits are covered by the Fonds de garantie des dépôts Luxembourg up to EUR 100,000 per depositor, repayable within seven working days. The bank dates itself to 1960 through Crédit Européen and took its present form in 2003, when Crédit Européen SA merged with ING Bank (Luxembourg) SA. Its own history page states that it is progressively phasing out Mass Retail and Business Banking to concentrate on Private Banking and Wholesale Banking, so an ordinary current account is no longer the way in. The tariff of 1 June 2026 prices securities business in two published bands, Private Banking from EUR 1 million to EUR 5 million and Wealth Management above EUR 5 million; it charges EUR 250 a year per client number to maintain a current account and adds EUR 50 a quarter for clients who do not reside in the European Union. Private Banking clients can hold a discretionary, advisory or execution-only mandate, custody runs from 0.25% a year below EUR 1 million down to 0.15% above EUR 2 million with ING Group paper exempt, and term deposits start at EUR 25,000 in twelve currencies for one to twelve months and in four for two to ten years. Cards are Visa in both debit and credit form, and My ING covers online and mobile banking.
